Block Watcher Training
This training is the first step to supporting our community. You can help by just watching over your block and reporting suspicious activity. All are welcome. The Block Watcher Program enlists individuals who watch their blocks for unlawful activities and other incidents that erode quality of life, and then notify the NYPD. The program formally organizes civic-minded volunteers by providing specialized training that equips them with the skills to provide police with complete and useful information. Each block watcher is issued a unique identification number to reference when calling 911 or 311, alerting operators that the callers have received training in recognizing criminal activity and quality of life issues. Participants in this program remain anonymous.

Press Conference Thursday 7/27/23
St. Agnes will be used as a “Respite Center for Asylum Seekers.” We have been told it will house 300 migrant men. As always the city puts additional strain on College Point’s infrastructure without any consideration for the residents or the overall community. The asylum seekers may move in as soon as tonight, tomorrow, or within the next 2 weeks. ABCPCA was on the phone all day getting updates from Council Member Vickie Palladino. Vickie was on the phone with the Mayor’s office all day, but the city will not change any of the plans set in motion. Vickie will be holding a press conference, please join us if you are tired of College Point ALWAYS being given the burden of supporting city initiatives and/or municipalities and never receiving any support for it!
