St. Agnes will be used as a “Respite Center for Asylum Seekers.” We have been told it will house 300 migrant men. As always the city puts additional strain on College Point’s infrastructure without any consideration for the residents or the overall community. The asylum seekers may move in as soon as tonight, tomorrow, or within the next 2 weeks. ABCPCA was on the phone all day getting updates from Council Member Vickie Palladino. Vickie was on the phone with the Mayor’s office all day, but the city will not change any of the plans set in motion. Vickie will be holding a press conference, please join us if you are tired of College Point ALWAYS being given the burden of supporting city initiatives and/or municipalities and never receiving any support for it!
